This house is most suitable for a single person, or a couple for a short period. The reason being the layout which is bachelor style.
The place would be an ideal retreat dwelling. It is quiet and private.
You can have some garden space if your stay is long enough.
House Layout: This single story house (measuring 24x 34’) is constructed bachelor apartment style. The bedroom is an alcove in the northwest corner where there is one double bed. A large separate bathroom contains a barrier free shower with seat (5’ wide), a roll-rim cast iron tub, sink, toilet and washing machine. There is no dryer, only an outside clothes line. The kitchen has a 20” propane stove, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, double sink, and side by side refrigerator-freezer.
My house is about 150’ from the rental unit (The advantage being I can assist you with whatever, a cup of sugar) but gardens, trees, etc make the rental property quite private. We are on a dirt road – about 800 feet off the road. There is a marsh between the road and the fields in front of the house.
There are a number of lakes close by. Antigonish Harbour Estuary (1/2 hr drive) is a wonderful place for canoeing and bird watching. I can lend you a canoe.
The Atlantic Shore is about a 45 minute drive. The Northumberland Strait about 30 minutes away.
